THis is even taken from an episode of the HitList... anyway,

the reason i loved this song was because it was simple. and at the base, it sounded like nsync's i wane you back.. so automatic awesome from me.. i also like how tehy looked youthful but still mature.. like everyone's cool older sister.

Pitha. that is all i have to say about No Secrets. well that is a lie..

WHen i was what? 14? 15? totally thought i'd mary Angel. then discovered that she was not cool when she was not in the no secrets equation. her solo effort was blah. BLAH.

I am hardly ever embarrassed about things i liked when i was younger... sadly, i don't know why i liked this song.. i am guessing because he and I are the same age.. but even then.. i shouldn't enjoy this...

This was the most genius song on his shelved second album. Mcfly got a chance to cover is on their album above the noise, but i feel the rawness of this song makes it cooler... i know it isn't actually raw and horribly layered, but if you listen to the robots in mcfly's version, this seems like a blank canvas...

The reason i was drawn to this video was because it was like Rachel Steven's Sweet Dreams My LA Ex had a baby with Sugababes' No Can Do.. Loves it.

So i blogged about Drive Me Crazy in the Steps post a few days ago, and here is the title track.
I think the magic of this video is the fact that Adrien and Melissa are in the video.
The only thing that would make this all better would be if Britney made a cameo in the movie. that would have been the greatest gift to 12 year old me.

This song is garage magic.

I always idolized Lance Bass when i was little because i felt the most connected to him. He had a low voice and didnt' fit in much. i thought if i was in a boyband, id be their lance bass. He knew he wasn't the strongest member, bust still tried, that is why i wanted to be him.

howevs, after hearing him cry through his whole book i though, what a baby and moved on.

but he is still my favourite.

I remember watching this Summer Music Mania with Holly on the phone. and all she said was damn, that is some crazy orgy going on on stage right now... and all i could do was laugh because she was telling the truth.

Don Phillip was billed as "the only person to ever sing a recorded duet with Britney Spears" up until this point in her career which i guess is true if you exclude the MMC stuff. The reason why this song stands out is because of the overall oversinging of EVERY word that comes out of his mouth.... it hurts my soul. but its so good.

With upcoming Steps reunion I have realized that Jive/Zomba records had a huge impact on my life. October will be devoted to the releases off of this label and the awesomness that ensued.

Speaking of Steps, the first post will be on the great Tony Moran remix of One for Sorrow which was released on the Drive Me Crazy soundtrack.... i went to THE FIRST showing of the movie on a PA day in grade 8 because i was SO excited to hear my favourite group in a movie. the song was sued for all of 15 seconds at the Centennial dance as Chase (Adrien Grenier) slid down the sculpture.

The Steps video i posted has removed all the drive me crazy footage, it makes me sad, however i like this video better than the original UK video because the attention is on all five Steps and not just Claire's gaping screaming mouth...

I volunteered at an event with my friend Brooke today and a group of our kids were singing this... then we jumped onboard as we also love Flight of the Conchords.

I think that experience made me realize why i want to dance. i mean teach.

As the kids were leaving ot catch their bus, they turned back and yelled: Jeff! Brooke! you're awesome! bye!!!

and then my heart broke.
