Who's the next winner? Me.
I remember reading an interview about this video with Masia in Now Magazine. She said she saturated the video with Asian imagery because thats how she felt she was being judged. like she couldn't be considered a rapper. she was a female asian rapper. they couldn't bill her without mentioning it. I completely identify with her sentiment because sometimes I feel that I am seen for my differences first and then only later realized that what makes me different doesn't change the outcome. that is essentially my cover letter applying for school boards... maybe i should add in a piece about miss masia.one.
